Oil and Gas Pipelines

NBS' high-density polyethylene (HDPE) pipe lining provides the best in erosion, corrosion and chemical resistance for a wide variety of applications in the oil and gas industry.

  • Water Injection and Disposal
  • Sour/Wet Gas
  • Three-Phase Oil Emulsion
  • Crude Oil
  • Brine
  • CO2

HDPE pipe lining can help cut costs by often eliminating the need for injection of corrosion inhibitors and drag reducers. HDPE has superior hydraulic properties to that of old (and new) steel pipe, usually leading to lower pumping operation costs and/or lower pressure drop, despite a slight reduction in inside diameter.

Reducing downtime is always critical. HDPE pipe lining can rehabilitate pipelines for a fraction of the cost of replacement, while also providing a corrosion barrier that is often superior to new pipelines.

HDPE lining has excellent hole spanning and bridging properties which can help bring old failing pipelines back to full operating pressure at a fraction of the cost of a replacement.
